TO SERVE EVERY STUDENT WITH EXCELLENCE AS THE STANDARD
The Sales Surtax and Millage work together to support Brevard Public Schools. Neither are new taxes. Both are already in place.
Sales Surtax funding helps maintain secure, modern school facilities and technology infrastructure, while Millage funding supports the people and programs that make learning happen every day. Each funding source serves a distinct purpose, and the funds cannot be used interchangeably.
Here's what they funded and the impact they have had at Palm Bay Magnet High School.
Strong Schools. Strong Brevard.

Today, students from Mrs. Davenport’s classes participated in our annual 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb. This group showed up this morning and willingly climbed stairs in the Florida humidity without complaint. They gave it their all, pushed through the challenge, and never quit. We hope that it was a meaningful experience for all that participated.
Not a single one of these students was alive when this tragedy occurred, but the fact that they were willing to participate today in remembrance of those who were lost truly warms the heart. It gives hope for this generation and confidence they will never forget the sacrifices made and the lives affected on September 11th, 2001.
Palm Bay Magnet High School would like to extend a sincere thank you to the members of the Melbourne Police Department's SWAT Team and Training Unit who came out and completed this exercise with us. Their willingness to support our students and participate alongside them speaks volumes about their commitment to our community. They truly show up for the people they serve, and we are grateful for their support.
